Tokyo International Airport, known as Haneda Airport, Tokyo-Haneda, is one of the most important airport in Japan. Located in the side of central Tokyo, access to the downtown is extremely convenient with subway lines, trains and buses. Narita International Airport, former New Tokyo International Airport was the largest airport in Japan till Haneda Airport got back international flights again from 2000. Kansai International Airport is largest airport in Kansai region, Osaka. It floats on the sea of Setouchi, the first fully artificial island airport in the world.

Greater Osaka has 3 airports of KIX, ITM and UKB.

Osaka International Airport has only domestic flights in spite of its name. The airport was used for international flights also, before KIX open. And now, the airport is only for full cost carriers of JAL, ANA, Skymark or Star Flyer. Because of convenient access to central Osaka or Kobe, the airport is exclusive for the luxury carriers. On the other hand, domestic flights for low cost carriers usually use KIX. You know it’s island, the accessibility was not good for domestic traveller.
